A smooth casting 9ft #6 fly rod built for New Zealand trout water. The CD Rods White Tail is a genuine all rounder, with the delicacy for a careful dry fly presentation on rivers like the Mataura or Tongariro, and enough backbone to punch out a nymph rig or turn over a lightly weighted streamer on stillwaters such as Lake Otamangakau or the Rotorua lakes. It's built for the kind of day where you're not quite sure what you'll be fishing, sight fishing a skinny backcountry stream in the morning, then working the margins of a lake as the light drops in the evening.
The four piece build makes it an easy companion for a South Island road trip or a weekend chasing browns and rainbows further afield, without giving up the feel and control serious trout anglers expect from a rod this size.
